Mayor Island, Labour Weekend, 3-Day Liveaboard

Contact info@diveshop.co.nz

Hosted by : Dive Zone Tauranga

Time : 4:00pm 20th October - 6:00pm 23rd October

Join us for a 3 day liveaboard charter to Mayor Island, departing from Tauranga Marina aboard Enterprise.

Mayor Island offers numerous awesome dive sites both inside and outside of the marine reserve located at the northern quarter of the island.  The reserve was established in 1993 and boasts a huge variety of fish and sea creatures that makes this a stunning dive.

Tuhua Reef is always a favourite, where you can catch a cray or two and get amongst the huge schools of trevalli and kingfish.  Regardless of whether you enjoy photography, hunting or just having a look, there is something for everyone.

Evenings are spent onboard in a sheltered bay, which is a great vantage point to experience the dawn chorus from the abundance of tui, bellbirds and robins, before hearing out to dive the many outstanding sites the island has to offer.

Bookings are essential for all trips, & payment of a $300 deposit per person is required to secure your booking.  Please note that deposits are only refundable if the trip is cancelled due to adverse weather conditions.

All participants must be certified to a minimum level of PADI Open Water Diver (or equivalent).  Evidence of certification will be required prior to departure.

Food & fills are included in the $550 per person trip fee.  Discounts apply for rental gear on this long weekend excursion ... use it for the whole weekend but only pay for one day of rental fees!

We will meet at Dive Zone Tauranga no later than 3:00pm to complete the necessary pre-dive registration & to arrange any rental gear requirements that you may have.

IMPORTANT:  Use of your own wetsuit, BCD &/or regulators is subject to a safety inspection prior to departure.  If you would like to use your own BCD, you must be equipped with a visual signalling device (safety sausage or similar), an audible signalling device (whistle) & a dive knife or line cutting tool.  Your BCD/regs must also contain an alternate air source (octi).

We reserve the right to refuse use of any equipment that does not meet our inspection standards in the interest of your safety.

Complimentary transport from Dive Zone Tauranga to the marina is available.
